MULCH, MORPH, MAGIC
A downloadable zine
16-page fullsize zine about what it takes to surrender control, accept impermanence, and compost emotional material made using images from pastel magazine, local travel magazines, france magazine, last year's audubon calendar, a printed definition of the word tendril, and materials sent to me in the mail by nat raum, on paper altered by coffee, tea, cherry stems, and oil pastels.
with many thanks to Janice Lee and Lidia Yuknavitch for creating the original space of MULCH, MORPH, MAGIC; to the many mulchers who helped give shape to my concept of compost; and to Rachel Hays of Taxonomy Press for her newsletter Composting and Processing, which fed into my understanding of internal compost: “Things have to be processed to break down into fertile soil that will nourish our best ideas.”
